Description

A high concentration of the beneficial bacteria Streptomyces nigrescens strain MR541. When applied, this unique microbe colonizes the plant's roots and foliage, producing beneficial by products that aid in plant vigor, growth and yield. 

For use on potatoes, strawberries, fruiting vegetables, tomatoes, ornamentals, leafy greens, tree fruit and nuts as well as other row crops.

How it Works

Colossus utilizes a potent strain of Streptomyces that was found in an Idaho potato field. It stood out among the thousands of isolates for its ability to colonize plants’ roots as well as its production of a myriad of beneficial secondary metabolites.

Colossus produces Siderophores at elevated levels, which allows the plants to draw the normally unavailable iron and nutritive metals from the soil as needed, even at high pH soils. 

Colossus uses the enzyme Chitinase as a biostimulant, promoting growth, increasing drought resistance and enhancing soil health.
