- Use as a top dressing by applying 1/4" to the surface of the soil
- Use in transplanting - add a handful to the bottom of the planting hole
- Use when sowing seeds - add 1/2" in the furrow
- Incorporate into any soil mix by blending 20% worm castings into the media
- Create a worm castings tea to spread the benefits over a large area of lawn or garden. For a gentle formulation use 10 parts water to 1 part worm castings. For seedlings 20:1 and for plants in severe distress 5:1.
Worm Castings are a combination of beneficial microbes, enzymes and organic debris. It includes the same ingredients as the SeaCoast Compost: composted fish, crab and shrimp shells, organic cow manure, red alder, biodynamic preparations of yarrow, chamomile, nettle, oak bark and valerian.
