Arber Biologicals - Protect Your Plants with Nature

Now available at Sound Horticulture are two new organic products for plant wellness, Arber Bio Insecticide and Arber Bio Fungicide. They come in small concentrates that are affordable and easy to use. We love that they harness the power of nature in the form of beneficial microbes to do the heavy lifting as they protect plants from common garden pests as well as disease. Both products are safe for people, pets, planet and pollinators. 

The Bio Insecticide concentrate contains heat-killed Burkholderia, a naturally occurring soil bacterium. It's cultured and fermented to produce compounds and metabolites that are  beneficial for plants. Arber's Bio Insecticide is not only a pest control product, but a biostimulant as well. Burkholderia works by promoting plant growth and inducing systemic resistance, enhancing the plant's natural defense mechanisms without harming beneficial insects. The enzymes produced by this beneficial microbe also work by degrading the insect exoskeleton and interfering with the molting process. It works on contact and also by ingestion. With these multiple modes of action, pests are overwhelmed, reducing the risk of pesticide resistance. 

Bio Insecticide controls and suppresses many types of foliar feeding pests such as caterpillars, aphids, thrips, whitefly, spider mites as well as soil pests like wireworms, grubs, cutworms and nematodes. To minimize the risk to bees, do not apply while bees are foraging. Best applied when pests are present, but before populations reach damaging levels. 

Bio Insecticide is for both indoor and outdoor gardening. It can be used on vegetables, fruits, nuts, ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, foliage and tropical plants. It is heat stable and harvest safe after 30 minutes. It works best when used preventatively every 2-3 weeks, but if pests are present, use every 5-7 days. 

Rate: 1 capful (1/4 -1/2 Tbsp) with 32 oz. water or 1 oz  (1-2 Tbsp) with 1 gallon water. Once mixed, use immediately, keep agitated and pour any remaining solution into the soil. 

The Bio Fungicide protects against root rot, botrytis, leaf spot, rust, downy mildew, black spot on roses, white and grey mold and more. It contains the active ingredient Bacillus amylolyquefaciens strain F727 which was discovered in a rice field in Northern California. This beneficial microbe grows over the surface of leaves and roots, creating a protective shield significantly improving soil health, promoting plant growth and protecting plants against diseases and stresses, leading to higher crop yield and better overall plant health. 

Bio Fungicide stops germinating disease spores from taking over and can be used on indoor and outdoor plants as a foliar spray or as a soil drench. For use on fruits and veggies, flowers and foliage, trees, shrubs, roses, nuts, berries, houseplants, herbs and ornamentals. 

Rate: 1 capful (1/4 -1/2 Tbsp) with 32 oz. water or 1 oz  (1-2 Tbsp) with 1 gallon water. Once mixed, use immediately, keep agitated and pour any remaining solution into the soil. Re-apply every 10-14 days.
